2014 graduate Olivia McCarthy, better known by her musical moniker JOY., served as the vital musical directorbehind one of the most culturally significant cross-genre collaborations in Australian music history. She produced the triple j Like A Version performance where Western Sydney drill rap heavyweights ONEFOUR joined forces with legendary pub rock icon Jimmy Barnes and pop superstar Jessica Mauboy. Released in September 2026, the unexpected collective delivered a gritty, hard-hitting reimagining of Phil Collins’ 1981 classic “In The Air Tonight”. McCarthy's precise production successfully balanced Barnes' signature raspy rock riffs, Mauboy’s powerhouse vocal harmonies, and ONEFOUR’s intense drill flows, blending vastly different generations and musical backgrounds into a singular, cohesive masterpiece.
